Zoom’s Five9 contact center certified for Microsoft Teams

SNAGHTMLb74c7fe

There is never a dull moment in the UC and collaboration world. This week, Five9 Cloud Contact Center was officially added to the  Microsoft Teams certified contact center list. Having previously been on the pending list. The Teams integration is via the “connect model”, using Microsoft certified SBCs and Direct Routing to connect the contact center solution to Teams phone users.

Five9 has been working with joint Teams and Five9 customers as far back as November 2020 with ProSites, a provider of online marketing solutions for dental, medical and accounting professionals, is using the Five9 and Microsoft Teams Integration.

It’s particularly interesting as Zoom announced in July 2021 that they are to acquire Five9. Of course, Five9 has had plans to be certified as a Microsoft Teams contact center for a long time, it was first announced at Microsoft Inspire 2019. So this is a plan that was likely rolling before the Zoom acquisition talks.

Will Five9 stay as friendly with Microsoft Teams as the Zoom acquisition happens? time will tell.

Five9 joins 8×8, Anywhere365, ComputerTalk, Content Guru, Enghouse Interactive, Genesys and NICE inContact as certified for Microsoft Teams contact centers. There are also 12 more vendors on the list currently in the certification process.

Interested in Teams Contact Center options? I’m talking about it at the upcoming online and in-person Commsverse event later this month in my session Microsoft Teams Contact Centres, Understanding Your Options, if you can make it, it would be great to see you there.
