  • It was a great feature when it worked. Now it just gives an error either complaining about verifying the person logged in, or not being able to look up the other participants of the chat.

    • You may not and that’s perfect fine. But many people in your organization probably do. Upper management appreciates recognition about once a quarter or once a year. It obviously doesn’t need to be in the shape of a badge.

For frontline workers or people who have really hard jobs, such as nurses, they need to be reminded they are needed. Badging is used because it is easy to administer, customizable, and digital.

  • Wholeheartedly disagree. Just because you go through the door of your office does not mean that what you naturally crave, that is recognition and appreciation, disappear. Research key motivators for people at work – recognition keeps coming up at the top.

  • I started using Teams to run my adult learning program online. I would really like to have more variety in the badge options. I’ve been giving praise to everyone who completed the required reporting daily. It’s helpful recognition to let students know they have met expectations.

  • Hi Tom,

My organization is yet to enable praise in teams. I needed to check few things before that.

Is there any backend data associated with badges/Praise ? Our requirement would be to fetch backend data if it exists and filter on the basis of number of praises/badges any user got/any user gave, on the basis of month/year, etc.

    Thank You!!

    • No I don’t think you can query graph/the backend for praise reporting yet unfortunately
