Mitel Announces Definitive Agreement to Acquire Polycom

News is just breaking, so not a lot of detail yet on the specifics. At least Mitel have generally been playing nicely with Skype for Business, so that’s encouraging.

  • Transaction valued at approximately $1.96 billion
  • Polycom brand to be retained
  • It remains business as usual and both companies will operate as separate entities until the transaction closes, which is expected to occur this year
  • There will not be any immediate changes to customer relationships with Polycom, Polycom will continue to offer our full portfolio of products and solutions
