LifeSize have been adding a lot of fixes and features in their latest firmware releases. Here is how to upgrade the firmware. The process is basically the same across the range.
Note you will need to be under support with LifeSize to get access to the latest firmware, and unfortunately they will charge you a recertification fee if you fall out of support and want to be covered again.
Log onto your LifeSize unit to get the serial number (blurred for security reasons). You can also get this from the units physical label.
Head to this link and input your serial number
http://software.lifesize.com/license/
Download the latest firmware build.
Note this relates specifically to the model *and* serial number, you have to download the build per unit, i.e. don’t download one image for all your units (there is an additional server product to do this in larger environments).
Log onto the unit and go to maintenance
Browse to where you downloaded the firmware image
Click Upgrade
The image will upload then the unit will upgrade (takes around 5 minutes)
Upon completion the unit will ask you to hit ok and will reboot
Once rebooted, you can log back on and confirm the Firmware version
That’s it, nice and easy.
Dear Tom, congratulations on your excellent blog.
We need make a integration Lifesize 220 family with Office 365.
May you help us with tips and documentations how to make this integration?
Sorry I haven’t done much with Lifesize lately. Maybe ask them/a lifesize partner.
