Mergers and acquisitions really are in the air in the UC and Collab space. Cisco recently bought Broadsoft, Sonus merged with Genband and Verint bought Verba.
Now K1, an investment firm has bought Actiance and are combining them with Smarsh.
I’ve not come across Smarsh before, but Actiance is a common compliance platform for Skype for business, particularly in Finance. They also have products that cover other products besides Skype for Business, Actiance customers include the top 10 U.S., top 5 Canadian, top 8 European, and top 3 Asian banks
Actiance has also started supporting capture and compliance archiving for Microsoft Teams.
Smarsh provides comprehensive archiving solutions for compliance, e-discovery and risk management, creating the clear, global market leader in compliance and enterprise information archiving. The combined company will serve more than 6,500 financial services firms, including the top 15 global banks and regional, mid-size banks and broker-dealers ? as well as government agencies and organizations in other regulated industries.
