It’s fair to say that the Microsoft Teams terminology/feature language can get be complex for users. With so many features and abilities comes some complex naming
I have a blog post in draft that breaks it all down which I must complete (subscribe for an email when it’s posted). Private, Public, Favourite, Follow, Pin.
Microsoft are looking to simplify the language here:
Favourite (Team) becomes Show (Team) – as in show it in my client
Remove Favourite (Team) becomes Hide (Team) – as in hide it in my client (not make the Team hidden from other people)
Follow this channel / Unfollow this channel becomes Notifications – as in get notifications for posts on this channel
The Favourites and More sections in the Teams client become and Your Teams and Hidden Teams
This change will roll out to selected users in mid-March, and the rollout will be completed worldwide by the end of May 2019.
This to my friend Phil Worrell for flagging this change.
