Do you need to backup Office 365?

It’s a question of much debate, do you need to backup Office 365?

As part of Petri’s GET-IT: Backup and Recovery 1-Day Virtual Conference I did a session on Office 365 backup that is now available on-demand, alongside other sessions. All the recordings and decks are now available for download.

You can check the on-demand session and deck here.

I cover

  • What is a Backup for?
  • Don’t Microsoft do Office 365 Backups for me?
  • Do you need Office 365 Backups?
  • Office 365 Backup Challenges
  • What to think about when choosing an Office 365 Backup vendor

There are some good tools and technologies right in Office 365 to minimise risk to your data. Not everyone needs Office 365 backups, it’s a risk-based decision, but there might be some reasons why you want them.

If you check out the session I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback and challenges.
