Microsoft Teams PowerShell Module 1.0.5 Update

image

Edit, shortly after posting the blog 1.0.5 was released with a minor Teams education-specific update, otherwise, it’s the same as 1.0.4

It’s been about 4 months since the last PowerShell module update for Microsoft Teams. In this update:

The new version includes:

  • Resiliency improvements on Get-Team cmdlet specially when used in tenants containing a large number of Teams and Unified Groups.
  • A new switch parameter on New-Team cmdlet called -RetainCreatedGroup. This allows admin toggle of unified group cleanup if team creation fails.

Bug Fixes on:

  • Add-Teamuser cmdlet when adding an owner also adds the user as a member without having to run the cmdlet again
  • Remove-TeamUser cmdlet which includes clarification of the behaviour of -Role parameter that was causing customer confusion

The new module is available at https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/MicrosoftTeams/1.0.5

Install it simply by running Install-Module -Name MicrosoftTeams
