Microsoft Teams are killing T-Bot, new help experience coming

T-Bot was designed to be a text-based bot in Microsoft Teams that users could interact with to ask it questions about how to use Microsoft Teams.

Microsoft announced in an Office 365 update that T-Bot will be removed and replaced with a more traditional help system. Now when you ask T-Bot a question it will redirect you to the new help. It links you to the Teams Help center

It’s interesting that Microsoft has dropped the T-bot idea for more traditional help. Maybe as Teams hits higher and higher adoption numbers not everyone is ready for using a bot for interactive help. Microsoft and other companies are heavily promoting that bots are “the future” of lots of communications, in this case, it seems it hasn’t been a fit.
